Berlin Tempelhof Airport, located in the south-central Berlin borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, was one of the first airports in Berlin, Germany. However, the airport ceased operations in 2008 amidst controversy. For the next twelve years, Tegel and Schönefeld were the two main airports serving the city until the opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport in 2020, which replaced both of them.
